Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics of America, Inc. Opens New Office in Malta, New York
New Location to Offer Service and Support to New York’s Growing Semiconductor Industry
Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics of America, Inc. (SCAI), is pleased to announce the opening of its new facility in Malta, NY. The company hosted a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well as complimentary gifts, food and beverages.
The Malta facility at 20 Tech Trail, Suite 201, marks the SHI Cryogenics Group’s fifth US location and its 12th location globally.
According to David Dedman, President and CEO of SCAI, “Our modern 1600 square-foot facility demonstrates the SHI Cryogenics Group’s deep commitment to the semiconductor industry and our growing customer base in New York’s Saratoga County and the surrounding Tech Valley.”
The new site will provide local service primarily for SHI’s line of SICERA® Cryopump systems. SICERA® Cryopumps and Compressors are designed with SHI’s proprietary inverter technology to greatly reduce customer energy costs. Its proprietary design also results in longer uptime, while maintaining transparent process conditions. The resulting savings and increased throughput make SICERA® ideal for semiconductor-related manufacturing.
