Tomohiro Koyama
President, Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics Shanghai, Ltd. (SCSL)
Mr. Koyama brings three decades of experience to his role as President of Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics Shanghai, Ltd. (SCSL), a position he has held since January 2020. He has spent his entire career as part of the Cryogenics Group, including 22 years in the research and development of multiple products, including 4K and 10K Gifford-McMahon Cryocoolers, Pulse Tube Cryocoolers and SICERA® Cryopumps.
After receiving his Six Sigma Black Belt qualification, Mr. Koyama joined the Quality Assurance team. From 2013 to 2016, he served as the Global Quality Manager at Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics of America, Inc. (SCAI) in Allentown, PA, and then as the Quality Assurance Manager of SHI’s Precision Equipment Division in Tokyo, Japan. Today, he manages cryogenics sales and service in the Chinese market.
